Our History

2001

With three years of insight to the map industry, Kevin Postel (company founder and owner) began his own map business in May of 2001.  Postel's background in sales and marketing coupled with sheer determination to succeed led to the acquisiton some of the regions most prestigious retail accounts.  By the end of the year Postel's account base had already surpassed two hundred.

2002

By the end of 2002, the company had reached the next goal of distributing to over 500 convenienece stores, truck stops and department stores.  Postel had earned the business of the most elite retail chains that would eventually secure his position in the mapping industry.

2003

Continued support from top retailers all over the state of Missouri leads to the expansion of Postel's territory into the states of Arkansas and Oklahoma.  By late 2003 Postel's account base had exceeded 1,000 retail stores.  Postel made his first print run with his self-titled brand of maps.

2004

Postel made contacts with a printing giant and contracted with the paper division of MapQuest (now GeoNova, LLC) who would print and supply the first in the sieries of Postel Road Atlases.  In June the company took on thier first full-time Cartographer and quickly began producing many titles of local cities and counties.  Territories continued to increase into the states of Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska creating a need for additional members within the sales force.  Postel had now acquired over 2,000 customers.

2005

To accomodate for continued growth, the company purchased and renovated a 4,800 sq. ft. building for the new Coporate Offices and Distribution Center located in Webster County's county seat, Marshfield, Missouri.  Postel upgraded his commercial fleet to new Dodge Sprinters.

2006

Fuel prices soaring, Postel's customers were calling for more "customer-friendly" pricing.  Postel met the demand with the first in it's class Quick View Series of maps, retailing for only $1.99 and available in many state and city titles.

2007

Postel continues to make big strides in the mapping industry earning and maintaining the business of corporate accounts by maintaining a high level of customer service and willingness to create local titles for many cities and counties that larger companies do not produce.
